Deep in the woods in upstate New York lies the Chilewaukee Resevoir, which is part of the vast system that provides water to New York City. Underneath it, lies the village of Galesburg, which was drowned in the early 20th century in order to build the dam, resevoir and tunnel system. Settled in the area more than 400 years ago, the residents of Galesburg didn’t let go of their land without a fight. In fact, some of them are still quite busy, still working to reclaim their land. The thing is, they could always use more workers, especially now that a new tunnel project is coming to a finish down in the city…
