Shales McNutt Construction was retained as the Construction Manager at Risk for the Library’s expansion project. Cost estimates for construction begin.
September 2022
A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) was issued to hire a Construction Management firm to oversee the construction of the renovation and addition.
June 2022
The Board of Trustees signed a contract to engage Sheehan Nagle Hartray Architects for architectural services for a self-funded $9M renovation.
April 2022
Architects Sheehan Nagle Hartray presented a Feasibility Study regarding potential options for renovating the library.
January 2022

The Board of Trustees hires Fast Forward Libraries and consultant Amanda Standerfer, to work with the Board, staff and community in developing a new strategic plan for the future of the Plainfield Public Library District.

The Board of Trustees is in the very beginning stages of developing a new strategic plan for the Library’s future. The Strategic Plan FY2016 and beyond is the most recent plan; however the Board is considering new ideas and options. A new Building Assessment 2017 was completed in April 2017.
