Resources for Job Seekers
The Library offers a variety of resources to assist job seekers including monthly job club meetings, one-on-one assistance through the Mobile Workforce Center, technology training, Illinois workNet advising and more. You can also access online resources that can aid your job search – all you need is your PAPL library card to get started.
Job Club meetings
Every month on the third Wednesday, 12:00 – 1:30 PM, attend a Job Club presentation on a career-related topic and network with local job seekers in a friendly and helpful atmosphere.

The Plainfield Library Job Club also has a group on LinkedIn. Join this group to connect with other area job seekers and receive announcements about activities.
Mobile Workforce Center
Workforce Services Division of Will County’s Mobile Workforce Center visits the Library the first Thursday of each month from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The Mobile Workforce Center is a state-of-the-art computer lab that travels to communities throughout Will County. Job seekers can choose from the following services:
- Information on job openings in Will County.
- Assistance in creating/revising a resume.
- Internet access to assist in your job search.
- Information on other job search resources.

Technology Training
Free hands-on technology classes for adults are offered every month.
Class schedules change quarterly and include core classes as well as interesting tech topics – some examples include:
- Computer Basics
- Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Social media
