Everyday English 1 & 2
In-person on Mondays
9:30 AM and 11:00 AM
Build confidence speaking English and ask questions about everyday life in the U.S. These classes offer practice reading and writing as well as conversations you would use at a school, store, doctor’s appointment and with neighbors. Learn how to use the Library and use the internet and be confident making friends and talking to others in the community. Virtual English Club

Learn and practice English in an informal setting. Read books together, discuss current news or explore other topics. This club is open to all and presented on Zoom. You will need a computer, tablet, or phone to access Zoom. Visit our Events Calendar to register.
English for Beginners and Intermediate Learners
In-Person on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
9:30 AM and 11:00 AM
English for Beginners classes are geared toward students with limited English experience. Intermediate level classes are for students who already use English in daily tasks but need to keep improving. Both classes include leveled listening, speaking, reading and writing practice. Plainfield Library card required
Continue your language learning at home and on the go with Mango Languages. This resource includes courses in over 60 languages, many recently expanded, including English Language Learner (ELL) courses. Lessons are self-paced and available online or using the Mango Languages app (iOS / Android).
