Subscription Boxes at the Library
Have you heard of subscription boxes? We’ve got two to choose from!
Patrons of all ages can sign up for a handpicked book each month (along with some extra goodies for you to keep!). Adults can also sign up for our “Let’s Go to the Movies” subscription box with a personalized movie package.
How does it work?
- Fill out a registration form below with basic information and your reading or movie preferences.
- For the next three months, we’ll select options we think you’ll love to check out!
- We will contact you when your subscription box is ready to be picked up (you will have one week to pick up your box from the Youth Services or Adult Services desks.)
- Subscription box selections will be checked out to you for four weeks. When you’re done, return the book or movies – the treats are yours to keep!
Best of all? It’s totally free!
Subscription boxes are available every quarter and availability is limited. Once you have signed up, you will receive monthly boxes for the next three months. If you want to continue your subscription, you will need to re-register while spots are still available during the next enrollment period. Click one of the age groups below to register.
NOTE: if your child does not fit into one of these age groups, you can still get handpicked books from the Library by requesting a Grab Bag. We also have our Personalized Picks form for adults looking for a list of reading suggestions without signing up for a subscription box.

Subscription Box FAQs
You may miss picking up one box. If you fail to pick up a second monthly box, your subscription will be canceled and you will have to sign up when spots are once again available.
Absolutely! If you do not want to receive a box during a particular month, email us at plainfieldkids@papl.info for kids and teens or info@papl.info for adults by the end of the preceding month.
Send an email to plainfieldkids@papl.info for kids and teen book boxes, and info@papl.info for adult book boxes. We will remove you from the list.
You can sign up again using the registration form. However, there are a limited number of boxes available for each session. You will need to register for a new subscription once the registration period reopens.
