As the son of two rock stars, Luc O’Donnell has always had to live with the public scrutiny that comes along with their fame. Now that his father (who Luc’s never met in person) is making a comeback, the heat’s really on. One compromising picture is all it takes to put his job into jeopardy, which would be really bad, since Luc’s kind of a mess (think David from Schitt’s Creek) and no one else was willing to hire him. A plan is cooked up for him to clean up his image: date a nice normal guy, and be seen out & about together.
Enter Oliver Blackwood. He couldn’t be more perfect: he’s a barrister, a vegetarian, and has never had a scandal. Despite having absolutely nothing in common, and with both of them needing a date for upcoming big events, they agree to be fake boyfriends. After that, they’ll just each go their separate ways. Or will they?
If you’re looking for your next great summer read, be sure to add this one to the top of your TBR! It definitely ticks all the boxes for a great romantic comedy, and I just know you’ll love it as much as I did.
