The Kindred Spirits Supper Club by Amy Reichert

The Kindred Spirits Supper Club by Amy Reichert

Sabrina Monroe needs to move back home with her parents after losing her job due to her severe anxiety. The only consolation to coming back to the Wisconsin Dells is that this will be temporary. Just until she gets another job. Just until she can save up a little and pay down some bills. Unfortunately, she can’t hide from Erika, her high school nemesis – for whom she’s now working for the summer. Nor can she hide from her family’s “gift” – some of the women in the family can see spirits and are able to help them to finish their unfinished business so that they can move on – and Sabrina’s been “blessed” with the gift. And so, Molly, a fun loving spirit who’s been around for Sabrina’s whole life is prone to popping up just when you least expect her – usually with some unsolicited advice. She also can’t seem to avoid Ray, who’s new in town and taking over his Uncle’s supper club. When the two begin working together to plan the big end of summer gala, both Ray and Sabrina find out that the Wisconsin Dells might just be where they belong – together.

What’s not to love about this book? Summertime in the Dells, yummy food, cute dogs, a wandering spirit or three, and some romance? Sounds like a perfect poolside read – and it is! Recommended for fans of Sophie Kinsella’s Twenties Girl.
