Reckless Girls by Rachel Hawkins

Lux has decided to follow her boyfriend, Nico, to Hawaii. Nothing is keeping her in California anymore since her mother died. She quit school and was working as a waitress when she met Nico. He had big plans to sail the world. That sounded amazing to Lux. So when Nico asks her to come along, she agreed.

Now it is six months later and they are still in Hawaii. Nico is fixing his boat and Lux is working as a maid in a luxury hotel. When Lux has given up all hope of traveling, Nico is offered $50,000 to take two girls, Brittany and Amma, to a remote island for two weeks. When they arrive on the island another couple is already there. Soon the six are being friendly and partying on the island. But as the days pass, secrets start emerging and everyone isn’t who they seem. Did this getaway just turn into a nightmare?

This one held my interest trying to figure out what is going on. The story goes back and forth through present day and everyone’s pasts that led them to the island. I would recommend this one.
