Pumpkin Pie Wars

Reviewed by Heather Y.

Rivalry runs deep as two feuding bakeries in Emeryville, Ohio, face off in the local pumpkin pie contest.  It’s a personal and business feud that started at the same contest ten years before. Now the owners children – Casey and Sam – will go head-to-head in the same contest,  keeping the flame of the feud alive.  During the competition, they’ve been spending more time with each other and have found that the feelings of hatred that they are supposed to have for each other have changed to feelings of love.

I liked everyone that they had in the cast and thought that they were perfect for the roles. I thought this was a very cute and funny movie that is perfect for the fall season.

I got this movie in my Movie Box, “Let’s Go to the Movies.” It’s one of the subscription boxes that the Plainfield Area Public Library has. To find out more information about the subscription boxes, visit https://papl.info/book-boxes/

The subscription gives you one box each month and lasts three months. Here is the box that I got: It came with a mystery movie (Pumpkin Pie Wars), a bag of popcorn, and a box of chocolate-covered raisins. When you sign up, you pick the types of movies that you like, to give those creating the boxes an idea of what to select for you. I loved this box and the movie that came inside of it.   As a big fan of movies, and especially Hallmark movies, I found that this was the perfect movie night.
