Cassandra (Carey Mulligan) used to be a promising young woman. She was going to be a doctor but dropped out of medical school after a traumatic event affected her life. She now works at a coffee shop and at night pretends to be so drunk that men pick her up and take her to their houses. Once there, Cassandra sobers up and shames the men for their behavior.
She reconnects with an old classmate and they start dating. Cassandra is finally happy but can’t forget what happened. And she needs to finish what she started.
This movie was amazing! It was so good and kept your interest the entire way through. You were rooting for Cassandra the whole movie. The movie won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. Rated R
