Nine Lives by Peter Swanson

Nine Lives by Peter Swanson

Nine complete strangers get a mysterious letter in the mail. The letter has no return address, and inside is a list of nine names, including their own. These nine people live in different parts of the country and seemingly have no connection to each other. Most of them toss the letter aside and forget about it – until two people on the list are murdered. FBI agent Jessica Winslow, herself on the list, goes into hiding and tries to solve the mystery of how everyone is connected before another person is killed.

I really liked this book. I read so many thrillers and mysteries so it’s hard to shock me, but this plot had a lot of surprises I absolutely did not see coming. I enjoyed getting to know all the characters and really grew attached to them, thus making their peril even more stressful! I had been meaning to read a Peter Swanson book for quite some time and now that I finally have I’m definitely going to go back and read more of his titles.
