Reviewed by Lisa K. I almost didn’t read this novel. Did I really want to read a story taking place during Covid? Haven’t I already been dealing with Covid for over two years? For some reason I decided to give it a try and I’m SO GLAD I did. This is a quiet, character-based novel about Lucy (yes, it’s Lucy Barton!) and her ex-husband who end up quarantining together in a house in a small, isolated Maine town as the country goes into covid lockdown. If you enjoy characters exploring their deep and complicated connections with each other, then this book is for you.
