Except that “Scottie” pops up in NYC, just before the wedding. And he keeps popping up, and then some very strange things begin to happen…
While I can’t say that this was my favorite Swanson book, one thing that he always does well is to create tension, and this book is no exception. The characters are all pretty unlikeable, but the scene was set very well. Not too many surprises here, but well worth reading because Swanson is one of the best, even if he’s not at his best. And now I can’t get that song out of my head…
