Why should I sign up for 100 Books Before Graduation?
We’re encouraging teens in grades 6 to 12 to read 100 books before they graduate high school. Reading will give you hours of entertainment while improving your test scores and preparing you for your future. Studies have shown that regular readers are more empathetic, have better critical thinking skills, and have higher levels of emotional intelligence.
Don’t think you have time to read 100 books?
- It’s a marathon, not a race! You’ve got time. If you start in 6th grade, you will have plenty of time to finish this challenge but even if you start as a senior you can still get it done!
- All reading counts including Manga, Graphic Novels, and listening to Audiobooks.
You can register here or in person at the Library.
How do I participate?

Keep reading: Did you finish the program? Keep reading! For every 25 books you log over the first 100 until you graduate from high school, you will get additional entries into the grand prize drawings. Grand prize drawings take place every three months.
